Savannah’s dream of starting a flower farm began in the Summer of 2021, inspired by the sudden passing of her Nana in December 2020. That same year, she met Cody, who quickly became part of both her life and her dream.

In Spring 2022, Savannah took her first steps toward farming, growing trial cut flowers in containers and saving her own seeds. By fall 2023, after completing a flower-farming marketing course, she fully committed to making her dream a reality. Having grown flowers for years in her family’s home gardens alongside her Nana and mom, it felt like a natural evolution.

In spring 2024, Savannah established Young’s Point Flower Farm & Florals in memory of her Nana, a woman who spent her final days tending lovingly to her gardens. That year, Savannah grew flowers anywhere she could: in the backyards of family members, in perennial beds at her mom’s and Nana’s homes, over 100 peonies at her brother’s farm, and in raised beds and cold frames in Cody’s family’s yards.

By Fall 2024, Savannah and Cody moved to their dream property and brought everything together in one place. They transformed the land into a thriving flower farm:

• A long laneway now lined with fruit trees
• Specialty narcissus and bulbs planted beneath old maple trees
• What was once a barren backyard now filled with countless varieties of flowers and plants

Young’s Point Flower Farm & Florals is now proudly certified as a Wildlife-Friendly Habitat by the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

In addition to flowers, Savannah and Cody grow much of their own produce and raise chickens, ducks, and quail, some of which help naturally control pests throughout the farm. They share this special place with their two dogs, Rosie and Max, and plan to call it home for many years to come.
